When you drive into The Valley through a gap in the hogback it feels like you are leaving the city behind. The only commercial type buildings are the Community Center and the Bradford K-8 school buildings. It is likely you will encounter deer and other wildlife as you drive through this part of the community. This part of the development was designed with open space in mind and the homes are situated so that they do not obstruct views of the foothills and hogbacks.

The equestrian center is located a short drive from the entrance and features first class facilities to board and train horses. Dakota lodge provides a gathering place for meetings, events and classes with indoor and outdoor accommodations including a pond, firepit and playground.

The varied trail system is easily accessed from several points in The Valley providing world class back country trails and hard surface paths as well. Residents can explore the unique eco system provided by wooded foothills, natural prairie grass valley and the rocky landscape of the hogbacks. There are several campsites scattered along the trail system providing camping for those willing to take a short hike.
